Most grocery store bagging and stocking jobs are pretty easy--and fun too!--so pop into the nearest stores and ask to fill out an application. It can help to get some face-to-face time with a manager rather than just filling out an application online. If the stores in your area don't hire fourteen-year olds, try neighborhood gigs that don't require formal hiring and documentation. Babysitting, for example, can be difficult but most of the time it's also fun and a great way to get some good job experience. If that seems a little too intense for you, though, or you don't know any families with kids, ask around your neighborhood for people who need lawn work or other odd jobs done around the house. Most of these things will be pretty easy and you'll get paid in cash, which is always a good incentive to put in some extra effort!
Sadly, only about half of these things are legal in Australia and my mum would never let me work for someone she doesn’t know. There aren’t many people close by who we do know. My parents don’t give me money for doing chores because it is already expected that I do most of the house work. I am also legally too young to work anywhere. Most businesses require you to be over 18 even to volunteer or work at a cash register.
If you are particularly good at somethings, say map design, capable of creating a series of video lessons, you can become a tutor at SkillShare. You’ll be in good company with folks like Seth Godin and James Franco among others. SkillShare tutorials and 30 days teaching challenge will help you create a winning video tutorial. Your earnings will depend on the popularity of your course, but even low attendance will let you earn some decent money.

Double check yourself, before you double wreck yourself. Make sure everything you send to a company, whether a résumé, an email or a portfolio, is good to go. Double check your grammar and wording, and for God’s sake use spell check! This is especially important when it comes to the company’s name. Don’t spell their name wrong and be sure to type it how they type it (e.g. Problogger, not Pro Blogger).

I need all this. I regret ever letting people snatch money out of my wallet at 16. I’m 17 years old, and I’m looking for ways to make money while still in school and over the summer. Plus, I could look for ways to earn money and college credit while still in school. I could earn a lot of tuition money for college, plus I could earn scholarships and gift cards, or have somebody with me to get a job interview, a credit card, some debit cards, membership cards, a car, and car keys. Plus, I can save a lot of money. I can get an adult driver’s license when I turn 18 years old, get 18 and up scholarships, get a lot of money, and my high school diploma when I graduate. I can get a part-time job and summer job so I won’t have to ask for money. I really need all this!
The pay is .25 per minute of talk time. Agents typically make anywhere from $7-$14 per hour. As for the hours, they are totally flexible. You can choose which shifts you want to work each week and the shifts are broken down into half hour increments giving you optimal flexibility. You can even log in and work if you are not scheduled for some impromptu cash.”
How many hundreds (or thousands) of dollars of stuff sits in your garage? Maybe you have an attic or off-site locker. You might be keeping these things to use “someday.” But, let’s be honest. If you don’t use something in five years, you should sell it. You might think it’s worthless junk. But, as the old saying goes, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
Run errands for an elderly person. A lot of senior citizens have mobility or dexterity issues, so they can find it difficult doing some basic daily tasks. If you know any elderly people in your area, ask them if you can help them out by getting groceries, moving furniture, fixing computer problems, or watering plants. Just be sure that your arrangement is up-front on both sides: the last thing you want is to do work thinking you’ll be paid while the other person considers your efforts a favor done out of kindness.
26. Services – You can offer a paid service, such as life coaching, blog coaching, goal setting or financial planning. Just be sure to investigate all the legal implications and make sure you’re not claiming to be a professional if you’re not one. With a service like this, you’re basically using your blog to sell yourself. You’ll need to convince people that you’re worth buying and then be able to back up your claims once they purchase your service.

20. Etsy – If you like to create arts and crafts, you can sell them on Etsy. It’s completely free to open an Etsy store. You simply sign up, post pictures of your creations and starting selling. You can choose your payment option, but PayPal is generally the easiest. Etsy makes it easy to sell and keep track of your inventory. There is a small listing fee and they take 3.5% of every sale you make.

Take good pictures. Some of the options below don’t require you to actually take the picture and sell the product, but for the ones that do, make sure you take a clear picture that makes your product stand out from the others.  If you’re going to be taking a lot of pictures, set up a small “studio-like” area in your home with a backdrop and proper lighting to really make your pictures come across as professional. And of course, you’ll want a good camera too.
Most people want a few more dollars in their wallets. But between an employer and family, the time most of us can devote to a second job is severely limited. Running a small side business can provide a few more options: you don’t have to show up at a set time and you can use skills you already have. Not all will be perfect for everyone, of course, and I’m sure that you’ll have a few ideas of your own after reading this list. If you’d like to share any other business ideas, please add them in the comments.

Hi. I went for surveys to start making money right away without delay and immediately and found out that all the quoted online survey sites do not operate from Malta. Can anyone please help? My friend and I are definitely in on this idea and are thinking of ways and means to get more people on board with us. There may be a new generation of online survey takers from this “tiny” island with a big heart.
Do online surveys. Marketing research is very important for big businesses, and paid survey sites are one of the many ways firms complete this research. Most of the surveys are quick and painless, and you can do them from the comfort of your own home. Take some time to search for a reliable site—or sites—that doesn’t require a registration fee and accepts teen participants.[9]
You can either organize a yard sale yourself (which is kind of a hassle), or better sell the items through ThredUp, which will pay somewhere around $2-$25 for staff from Gap, Banana Republic, H&M, etc. You can browse around to see how much different items are worth. The best thing about ThredUp is that all you need to do is pack your clothes in a box and then just ship it to them (shipping costs are covered by the company).
